Hashim AL-ASSAF

boasts over two decades of extensive experience in bolstering the capacities of civil society organizations throughout Iraq. His career spans various NGOs, including Médecins Sans Frontières, where he held the role of Operational Deputy Head of Mission, and the NGO Coordination Committee for Iraq (NCCI), where he served as Executive Director.

Specializing in organizational development, leadership, program management, communication, and team dynamics, Hashim has facilitated numerous training initiatives crucial to the success of NGOs. His areas of expertise encompass Project Cycle Management, Fundraising, Theory of Change, Disaster Risk Reduction, and Strategic Planning. In addition to training, Hashim has contributed significantly to humanitarian research and project evaluation, ensuring the efficacy and positive outcomes of implemented initiatives.

Hashim holds a B.A. in Civil Engineering from Baghdad University and has completed an e-learning course at the Humanitarian Academy at Harvard titled “Building a Better Response”.

Mr Snoxell

is a development professional who has a long term professional relationship with HGC. Mr Snoxell has worked closely with HGC on a number of assignments including agricultural technical advisory, market assessments, and feasibility studies.

Mr Snoxell is a New Zealand citizen, and resident of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. He holds two Masters degrees, a Masters in Agribusiness Management and a Masters in International Rural Development. Mr Snoxell has previously worked for International NGOs and development consulting firms, within the fields of livelihoods and agribusiness development.
