Highlands operates across the Kurdistan Region of Iraq and throughout Iraq, focusing on communities affected by conflict, displacement, and long-standing social and economic challenges.

Our work is rooted in places where the need is greatest—among refugees, internally displaced persons, marginalized communities, and minority groups who are working to rebuild their lives with limited resources and opportunities.

We take a community-centered approach, partnering closely with local leaders and residents to understand their realities and priorities. This ensures that every program we design is relevant, culturally aware, and built for long-term impact.
